OrthoGen(SP3D) Version 9.3 is a complete rewrite of OrthoGen(PDS) V7. OrthoGen(SP3D) outputs in AutoCAD and MicroStation V8. OrthoGen(SP3D) has already had project-proven successes generating drawings quicker and more accurate than ever before. We believe using your favorite CAD program with SmartPlant 3D and OrthoGen is by far the most productive combination for drawing deliverables. OrthoGen delivers a very “High Value” solution for drawing annotation and embellishment.
For OrthoGen(PDS) users there is no additional training necessary and will be able to generate and annotate drawings in minutes.
Most companies have years of standards, details, symbol libraries and in house developed tools based on MicroStation® or AutoCAD®. OrthoGen allows you to immediately bring the years of development spent on these tools to your SP3D® project.
Using OrthoGen’s multi CAD platform you can produce these drawings in the customer’s preferred format resulting in a better deliverable with no massive translation effort at the end of the project.
If you have the requirement for a certain “style” of drawing which may require very different representations of labels and dimensions, OrthoGen has hundreds of easily configurable options that will allow you to meet the most demanding customer configurations with NO programming.

OrthoGen(SP3D) 9.3 supports MicroSoft SQL Server and Oracle data bases and MicroStation v8i, v8 2004 and AutoCAD 2006 thru 2010. Most of the majority of OrthoGen (PDS) functionality has been added.

In OrthoGen version 9 we have done a large development effort to allow the production of steel framing drawings. It delivers the same functionality as FrameWorks® when labeling member Cross Sections but also generates labels for column grids and generates dimensions. Many projects are using MicroStation® v8 or AutoCAD for civil drawings, foundation locations, concrete drawings, and details. Having the steel drawings in MicroStation or AutoCAD makes the integration with the other Civil-Structural drawings much easier and results in a much cleaner delivery

OrthoGen(SP3D) now has the ability to process locally interactively and/or submitted for processing to an OrthoGen server.
