New in OrthoGen Version 7

With over forty new features OrthoGen 7 is our most significant release to date. Building on the experience of over 130 users, we have added major new functionality.

Highlights Include:

Standard Drawing Interface

Initial Release of OrthoGen SDI - The OrthoGen Submit form has had an additional "Layer" added that allows users to select from a set of predefined drawing types. Users are able to see an example of the output as well as descriptions and tips for each drawing type. SDI comes with over 25 predefined drawing types that cover all disciplines but is designed so that users can add their own drawings or modify the delivered ones.

Permanent Edits

Initial Release of "Permanent Edits" - When using 3DSedit to reposition and "Freeze" the labels to a level in the 51-56 range, on subsequent re-runs, frozen labels are read and new labels are compared to the repositioned ones. If the first line of the label, or the x,y,z location of the item has not changed, the label is NOT placed again preserving the edit.

Dimensioning Zones

Initial Release of "Dimensioning Zones" - When the dimensioner runs, if it finds shapes on level 63, it will run a dimension string locating the requested items that fall within the shape instead of just running a dimension string along all four sides of the view. This feature is currently limited to one view per drawing file and 15 dimension strings.
